Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur; conducts the Xavier Admission Test (XAT) as a prerequisite for selecting the students for admission to Xavier Institutes for pursuing post graduate management programmes. The score obtained in the XAT test is also accepted by more than 60 business schools across the country.
XAT 2013 Important Dates
Date of XAT 2013: Sunday 8th January, 2013
Registration for XAT 2013 commences from: 20th September 2011
Timings of the test: The duration of test will be of 2 ½ hours from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Last date for submitting completed forms: December 1st week
Dates for downloading Admit card: December mid week to December Last week
Result Declaration: January last week
The eligibility of the various post graduate management programmes varies as mentioned below.
· Program: Two years Post Graduate Program in Business Management, PG program in Industrial Relationship and Personal Management
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream or equivalent from a recognized University or Deemed University.
Graduates who are appearing in final year may also apply provided they will submit their degree certificate later.
· Program : One year General Management Program
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream or equivalent from a recognized University or Deemed University in India or foreign countries.
Work experience: Applicants should have 5 years of work experience as full time employee and have appropriate managerial experience after the completion of bachelor’s degree.
· Four year Fellow Program in Management
Educational Qualification: Any one of the following qualification.
Post graduation or equivalent in any stream with minimum 55 %( 50% for SC/ST) of marks CA/ICWAI/CS with 55% of marks
B.E/B.Tech or equivalent with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST)
XAT 2013 Test Pattern:
The XAT test consists of total 127 Questions that are divided into three sections. The time duration of the test is 140 minutes. It comprises an essay of 250-300 words with time limit of 20 minutes and there is time limit of 40 minutes for each section.
Reading Comprehension & English – 40 Questions
Quantitative Ability – 44 Questions
Data Interpretation and Reasoning – 43 Questions
Candidate is given 1 mark for every correct answer and 1/3rd mark is deducted for first five wrong answers followed by deduction of 1/2 mark after 5 questions in every section.

Offline Registration: Applicants can also purchase the registration forms from various branches of SBI or from XAT office at XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Applicants should carefully read out the instructions mentioned in the website. Candidate should ensure that the information provided in the form should be supported with required documents. The required documents are required to be sent along with the application form. The latest passport size photograph should be pasted and signature needs to be put in all the desired places.
