All India Pre Medical/Dental Test 2013 will be conducted Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as an entrance exam for providing students admission into the MBBS courses offered by the institution. The AIPMT scores are accepted by various medical and dental institutes under Union Government, State Governments and Municipal authorities in India. The 15% seats in Medical and Dental institutes of various states are filled on the basis of AIPMT 2013.
AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 – Important Dates (Tentative)
Dates of availability of application forms: By 4th week of Oct 2013– 1stweek of December 2013
Final date for submitting the completed application forms: BY 1st week of December 2013
Date of Preliminary exam: By 1st week of April 2013
Date of Final Examination: By Mid week of May 2013
AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 – Eligibility Criteria
· Applicants should be an Indian National
· Students need to pass standard XII with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidate should have studied English at senior secondary level to become eligible for admission to MBBS course
· Applicants should be at least 17 years of age and upper age limit is 25 years. (there is relaxation of 5 years for the ST/SC candidates)
· Students who are appearing in their standard XIIth exams can also apply for AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria the time of admission
AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 – Eligibility Criteria
The 15% reservation at all India level for AIPMT MBBS/BDS is done on the following basis.
· SC aspirants : 15% seats
· ST aspirants : 7.5% seats
· Non-creamy layer OBC students : 27% seats in Central Educational Institutions
· PH students : 3% seats reserved on horizontal basis
AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 – Structure of exam
The AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 entrance exam comprises of two stages including Preliminary Exam and Final exam.
Preliminary test comprises of 200 multiple choice objective questions with total time allotted is 3 hours. It covers the syllabus of XIth and XIIth standard encompassing the following subjects.
· Chemistry
· Biology
· Physics
Only those candidates who cleared the Preliminary test are called for Final exam.
Final Exam
Final exam comprises of 2 papers with total time duration of 2 hours.
· First paper covers Physics and Chemistry questions.
· Second paper covers Botany and Zoology questions.
It is a non-objective type exam where a booklet is provided to the candidates for writing the answers.
AIPMT MBBS/BDS 2013 – How to Apply?
Online Way
· Applicants are required to apply online by logging to the official website at www.aipmt.nic.in. Applicants can download the application form and then take its printout from the official website. This printed application form should be send via mail to the concerned address along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 700 (Rs 300 for ST/SC candidate) and other required documents.
Offline Way
· Applicants can purchase the admission form and prospectus from regional offices of Canara Bank and CBSE across India and making payment of application fee of Rs. 700 (Rs 300 for ST/SC candidate) in cash.
