MAH-CET Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test 2013

The MAH-CET 2013 is conducted every year by the Government of Maharashtra as a prerequisite entrance exam for students for taking admissions in MBA & MMS courses (i.e. Master of Business Administration and Master of Management studies respectively) every year. Students who would like to post graduate diploma management courses such as PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma Course in Management) and PGDBM (Post Graduate Diploma Course in Business Management), also need to write this examination.

MAH –CET score is accepted by more than 200 institutes from different universities in Maharashtra for providing admissions to post graduate management courses. This exam is either administered by the relevant authority on its own or it is conducted in collaboration with professional Agencies.

MAH-CET 2013 Important Dates (Tentative)

· Availability of the application form: Month of January, 2013

· Submission of completed Application form: January to February, 2013

· MAH CET Examination Date – February, 2013

· Date of declaration of Result: April, 2013

· Dates of GD & PI- May, 2013

· Final Merit list declaration: June, 2013

MAH-CET 2013 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to become eligible for MAH-CET.

· Graduate in any discipline with minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA

· In case of reserved category, the minimum aggregate marks required is 45%

MAH- CET Structure

The exam structure of MAH-CET includes 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and time duration available is 150 minutes. The questions cover the following topics.

· Verbal Ability

· Reading Comprehension

· Quantitative Aptitude

· Logical/Abstract Reasoning

The distribution of Marks in MAH- CET is as follows:

· Verbal ability: 35

· Reading comprehension: 15

· Analytical reasoning: 51

· Verbal reasoning: 20

· Non-verbal reasoning: 30

· Quantitative analysis: 14

· Data interpretation: 20

· Data sufficiency: 15

There is no negative marking for marking incorrect answers.

Apart from written exam, the shortlisted candidates are called for GD and Personal interview.

How to Apply for MAH- CET

Online Application

Applicants are required to apply online by logging to the official website at www.dte.org.in/mba. Candidate should keep their digital photo and signature ready as they are required to upload their photo and signature as per the provided instructions on the site. Candidate will receive an application ID and Password and they should preserve the Application kit.

Costs of application form for general category candidates is Rs.1, 150/-

Costs of application form for reserved category candidates is Rs 950/-

Applicants are required to take printout of the application form from the official website. This printed application form should be send via mail to the Office along with the DD (Demand Draft) of entrance fee. Candidate should take care to complete the application in his/her own handwriting.
