ISAT- – Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology 2013

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is considered as the first Institute of space science in Asia that provides a wide range of courses for undergraduate, post graduate and PhD programmes related to space Technology and its various applications. Every year the IIST conducts ISAT-2013 as an entrance exam for providing admission to students to under graduate programmes (B Tech).

ISAT-2013 – Important Dates (Tentative)

· Commencement of Online Registration: By 2nd week of November, 2011

· Final date of Online Registration: By end of December, 2011

· Final date for Fee Remittance: By 1stweek of January, 2013

· Closing date of submitting Institute copy of Challan: By Mid January, 2013

· Date of ISAT entrance exam: By 3rd week of April, 2013

All these dates are tentative and subject to change.

ISAT-2013 – Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who would like to apply for ISAT-2013 should fulfil the following eligibility criteria.

· Candidates should have passed the XIIth standard exams from recognised Central or State board with at least 70% marks.

· Candidates belonging to reserved category should have at least 60% marks in XIIth standard.

· Candidate should be an Indian national

· Minimum age of the candidate should be at least 25 years

· Students who are appearing in their standard XIIth exams can also apply for ISAT-2013 provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria the time of admission.

ISAT-2013 –No of seats

There are only 156 seats available for admission in IIST at present.

· 59 seats for Aerospace engineering

· 58 seats for avionics

· 39 seats for Physical Science discipline

ISAT-2013 – Structure of ISAT

The structure of the ISAT-2013 comprises of an objective type test that involves questions from the following subjects.

· Physics

· Mathematics

· Chemistry

There is a negative marking where one mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

ISAT-2013 – How to Apply?

Applicants are required to do online registration for appearing for ISAT 2013

Candidates can visit the following links for completing the online registration.

After completing the registration, candidate has to submit his/her details in the online application form on website. After this, candidates have to download and print the challan form (Fee remittal form) and use it for making payment for ISAT fees in any SBI or PNB branches. Candidate has to send the institute copy of the Challan to the exam authorities by Speed post.
