GMAT – Graduate Management Admission Test 2013

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission test) is conducted by US-based Pearson VUE as a pre requisite entrance exam for students for taking admission to business and management courses.

This exam is administered by Graduate Management Admission Council that acts as a worldwide body of graduate business schools. This test is conducted for examining the verbal, analytical and mathematical skills of the candidate.

GMAT 2013 – Important Dates

There is no fixed examination dates for GMAT and it is organised on national level. Applicants can select the examination dates as per their choice. The applicants are required to get registered 3 months prior to their choice of date for the exams (GMAT from September to December). In other cases, the time period of 15 days before the exam date is enough for completing the registration.

GMAT 2013 – Eligibility Criteria

There are no fixed eligibility criteria for GMAT 2013 and applicants who would like to join the Business schools worldwide can apply for GMAT. There are numerous institutions and universities that provide admittance to students on the basis of their GMAT score.

GMAT 2013 – Structure and Syllabus

The GMAT Exam comprises of questions from three sections including Analytical Writing, Quantitative Section and Verbal Section.

The total time duration of GMAT test is 210 minutes.

Analytical Writing: In this section, applicant has to give a written examination and it may cover Analysis of an issue and Analysis of an argument.

The time duration for answering this section is 60 minutes.

Quantitative Section: In this section, applicant has to answer 37 objective type questions that cover

Data Sufficiency and Problem solving topics.

The time duration for answering this section is 75 minutes

Verbal Section: In this section, applicant has to answer41 objective type questions that cover

Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning topics.

The time duration for answering this section is 75 minutes

The questions are designed by the computerised system on the basis of the level of the candidate. If the candidate is performing well then level of difficulty will increase and if he is not performing well, then level of question gets easier.
